Article: Big plans in the works for the Majestic Star

In the 3 1/2 years casinos have been open in northwest Indiana, a
well-defined pecking order has been established.
At the top have been Empress Casino in Hammond and Harrah's East
Chicago. In December, Empress posted gaming revenue of $18.1 million,
while Harrah's was right behind at $17.1 million. Figures have not
yet been posted for January, but the early word is that Harrah's
edged out Empress for the top spot in northwest Indiana.
The bottom feeders have been the two Gary casinos, Majestic Star
and Trump. That was true again in December, with Trump posting $10.7
million in revenue while Majestic Star earned $10 million.
At Majestic Star, they think it's time to turn that situation ...
