Circuit Court Clerk Aurelia Pucinski is leading efforts to elect
Cook County Republicans in the fall, but she is putting some GOP
noses out of joint by also offering information to Democrat Dorothy
Brown.
Pucinski, who switched to the GOP after a lifetime as a Democrat,
said she will give detailed pre-election briefings on her job to both
women vying to succeed her because it's good for the office and the
voters.
"As a responsible public servant, I consider it part of my job_and
a privilege_to make sure both of them are prepared," Pucinski said.
"I am not going to let this office go to hell in a handbasket."
But some Republicans are fuming, questioning why the GOP convert
is not limiting her ...
