While attending Indiana University in 1988, Eric Goodman was
undecided whether he wanted to go into broadcasting or advertising.
Both were appealing, though advertising seemed to have a slight edge.
Everything changed, though, when he did a summer internship and
got a taste of what sports reporting was all about.
"I just couldn't get over that you got to go to the ballgames and
enjoy the games," Goodman said. "Sure, there's work involved, but I
couldn't think of a better place to work. I knew at that point I had
to do everything I could to get into the business."
