SYDNEY, Australia I knew C.J. Hunter was a jerk.
Now I know why.
The American world-champion shot-putter, who from this point
forward shall be known more appropriately as Mr. Marion Jones, tested
positive for the steroids nandrolone and testosterone at various
times this past year.
Of course, he says it's all wrong, all a contrivance against him,
just some silly iron pills he took.
But Mr. Marion Jones is like all the other cheats.
Never-never-do they admit guilt.
I watched Mr. Jones at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Sacramento,
Calif., where he finished in the top three in the shot along with
Adam Nelson and Andy Bloom, and he was one unpleasant fellow.
