Hmm . . .
Reasons for leaving continue to be among the more frequent entries
in the Resumania file. There's really no good way to explain why
you've left a bad situation, so it's better left unsaid. To wit:
"REASON FOR LEAVING: Fed up with clients who are afraid of the
IRS. I told my last client I could save him thousands on taxes, but
he wouldn't let me do it because he was afraid the IRS would come
after him."
Sounds like your client might have been onto something.
