Article: Finer than fast food A quick meal doesn't mean the same old . . .

Whoever came up with the words "fast food" didn't do any favors for the business of eating out. The implication here is that we are getting something less than a best effort. So how good can it be if we are hit with, say, a sandwich that is moving through some high- tech fryer-grill-broiler faster than a speeding bullet? Or a bowl of soup that is so swampy-tasting from sitting on the stove so long you might have to beat off an alligator with your spoon?

Fast food is not my cup of tea. I am, however, a fan of fast food that is slower. I call it Slow Fast Food.

How is Slow Fast Food different from fast food? Simply put, if you can win big bucks by scratching something off the side of a plastic
