Article: Change makes sense Harmless improvements at Wrigley Field will make Cubs owners a few dollars, too

The Tribune Co., owner of the Cubs, wants to build 2,100 new
bleacher seats at Wrigley Field, improve some johns, make a new
bleacher entrance, add some other gewgaws (including eventually-can
you stand it?-a Cubs Hall of Fame!), and I say: let 'er rip.
Wrigley is a national treasure, no doubt about it.
So let the owners upgrade it and make a little money in the
process, while keeping the park's essence intact, and then let's all
get back to watching those cheerful little fellows who play inside
the brick and ivy confines.
The Trib folks also want to increase the number of night games
from 18 to 30.
And that's fine, too. As long as ownership makes sure to hire
enough security, cops, parking ...
