On a cool evening in New York City, the vultures have descended.
They wait behind black ropes at the ready to attack their prey. She
knows that tonight will be a feeding frenzy. But these days Nicole
Kidman has a little mantra. ``The show must go on,'' she says.
Descending from a limo for the first public showing of ``Moulin
Rouge,'' a luminous Kidman pastes on her best camera-ready smile,
which isn't easy when your famed marriage has fallen apart and you've
lost a baby within the span of mere months.
The questions must seem insane to her. A reporter screams, ``How
have the last few months been for you, Nicole?''
