Article: Cellulose insulation is best for blowing into walls

Q. I live in a 1964 brick ranch with gas-fired water heat.
Allworks well except that there is no insulation in the walls
exceptfor where we removed the paneling during a recent
remodelingproject. Because of the increasing cost of natural gas, I
need todo something before winter. I'm a reasonably experienceddo-it-
yourselfer and may try to do some of the work myself. I'veseen the
walls drilled and injected from the outside, and I've seenshredded
newspaper blown from the inside. I've also seen the studbays filled
with foundation insulation (Styrofoam pellets) from theinside. Which
method would be best with a reasonable cost? And whatabout moisture?
Will this be a problem since there will not ...
