Article: What a bedside table says about you

The way a house is decorated might be a reflection of a world view or family ethos, but few areas in our home offer as much insight into the distinct personality of its various inhabitants than the bedside table and the items found in or around it.

What are you reading? What are your interests? How do you relax? What music do you listen to? How do you wake up in the morning? Clues to these personal questions can be found in the magazines, cassettes, electronic devices, ointments, work memos, lighting sources and other paraphernalia found on the bedside table. The order and arrangement of these items--or lack thereof--also offer clues to our personalities and proclivities.
