Ciena Corp. plans to pitch its products globally starting next
week with a round of seminars designed to drum up business in major
European, Asian and Latin American cities.
But will anyone be listening?
At each stop, executives at the Linthicum, Md.-based firm plan to
underscore how Ciena's high-speed Internet gear can help
telecommunications carriers save money.
The executives, who plan to travel the globe through November,
will take with them an internal study that details how one Ciena
product can replace 25 pieces of traditional equipment designed to
carry telephone calls.
