Elizabeth Meyer, exhibition director and activist: born New York
City 1947; married 1980 Paul Michael Glaser (one son, and one
daughter deceased); died Santa Monica, California 3 December 1994.
Elizabeth Glaser became one of foremost Aids activists in the
United States after she and her two children were infected with
HIV, the virus that causes Aids, from a blood transfusion.
A former exhibition director for the Children's Museum, in Los
Angeles, and the wife of the actor Paul Michael Glaser, who starred
in the television series Starsky and Hutch (which ran from 1975 to
1979), Elizabeth Glaser received infected blood in 1981 when she
was nine months pregnant with her daughter, Ariel. She ...
