A new documentary by local environmental activists examines the history and problems of Four Mile Run stream and proposals for reviving it.

The nine-mile-long stream flows through Fairfax and Arlington counties and the cities of Falls Church and Alexandria. About 200,000 people live within Four Mile Run's 20-square-mile watershed. The stream, which empties into the Potomac River at Reagan National Airport, is considered unsafe for swimming and fishing.
