PETER SINGER
Born: 1946 in Melbourne, Australia.
Career: He is professor of philosophy and deputy director of the
Centre for Human Bioethics at Monash University, Melbourne. He was
founding president of the International Association of Bioethics.
He is president of the Australia and New Zealand Federation of
Animal Societies. He will stand for election for the Australian
Greens in Victoria in the next federal elections.
