Juan Carlos Pinero hopes to emulate his more celebrated
brother, Manuel, by winning the Austrian Open at Litschau today.
Manuel won nine European tour events and also played in two Ryder
Cup matches. Juan Carlos, who is three shots ahead in Austria with
one round to play, has yet to win on the Tour. He has shot 65, 66
and 68 on successive days for a 54-hole aggregate of 199, 17 under
par, and is three shots ahead of Irishman David Higgins, who shot
69 yesterday, and four ahead of Sweden's Max Anglert, whose 64 was
