Expert Advice on Building a Civil War Library

I have been building a Civil War library for several years and take pride in the shelves of books I have collected. This was not an organized effort guided by a master list but rather a carefree approach of just buying what I wanted to read.

That approach has led to a collection of about 200 books. Before adding anything else, I decided to ask some experts to list the five books they considered indispensable to their libraries and also to name the best new book on the subject.
