George Washington Men 87
After rallying to win so often this season, the George Washington
men's basketball team tried its best to overcome a 15-point second-
half deficit against Charlotte yesterday. The Colonials fell short,
losing 97-87 before 2,682 at Smith Center.
Junior guard Chris Monroe (Good Counsel) scored 26 points to lead
the Colonials (7-4), who hadn't played since Dec. 8. Senior guard
Jobey Thomas tied his career high with 29 points for Charlotte (6-
5). Senior forward Cam Stephens added a career-high 24 points and
tied a career high with 15 rebounds.
