QOver the past year I have noticed that the cement garage floor
has a white powdery substance forming on the surface. I sweep the
floor, but the powdery substance reappears within a week or two. I
think the concrete is deteriorating because I have noticed the
concrete getting pock-marked. Do you have any idea what might cause
this?
AThis kind of dusting problem can be caused by a number of
installation errors, including using a mix that is low on cement and
high on water, curing a concrete pad too quickly, or using aggregate
contaminated with silt or other impurities.
