THE "MOORS murderer", Myra Hindley, was hospitalised after a
suspected stroke in prison yesterday.
It is believed Hindley, 57, was found semi-conscious in her cell
at Highpoint Prison, Suffolk at 3pm. She was taken by ambulance to
the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.
Hospital authorities said last night that she was being kept under
observation.
A prison spokesman confirmed that a female prisoner had been taken
to a local hospital, adding: "We never discuss medical conditions."
Amanda Skull, the director of operations at the West Suffolk
Hospital said: "The prisoner came in as an emergency and was
initially taken to the accident and emergency department... [She] has
