FOR CONNOISSEURS of human drama, Saturday evening saw an exceptional event. At the Grace Theatre above the Latchmere pub in Battersea, south London, a few dozen media luminaries gathered, in a space hardly bigger than a walk-in cupboard, to see a play whose main character was sitting in the audience, watching an actor using his words in a way he could no longer use them himself.
