Article: Cats vs. Dogs vs. Traffic

This column has gone to the dogs. And cats. At least today. Under the heading "Pets in Traffic," I noted in a recent column that my two cats have run loose for 10 years and seem to have learned to steer clear of traffic, while our dog, if not leashed, would run right into a moving car.

When I asked Mrs. Gridlock why there was such a difference, she said, "It's because cats are smarter than dogs." I asked for your views on that and why more dogs seem to be hit than cats. Here are some of your responses.
