If you're after a free cruise, you could do worse than sign up for
the maiden voyage of a new or refurbished ship. In the past five
years, Cunard and Walt Disney have seen their ships come in either
late or unfinished, with compensation for affected passengers; this
week it was P&O's turn. The cruise company's new flagship, Aurora,
limped back to Southampton within 18 hours of its departure. The
company will not say how much compensation it is offering to the
disappointed clients, but well-sourced reports say that in addition
to a full refund, each passenger will get a free cruise.
