SIR RICHARD Greenbury, the former chairman and chief executive of
Marks & Spencer, is to embrace the new economy as chairman of e-
comsport, an internet content company.
The appointment of Sir Richard, who resigned from M&S a year ahead
of schedule in June last year, will come as a surprise to many. It
was widely believed that his departure from the struggling retailer
was prompted by fears that he was "out of touch" with the "radical
new thoughts" that were emerging in the company.
