IF SALE could engineer some consistency they might be able to reproduce the form of three seasons ago when they were one of the most attractive sides in the land, and not easy to beat at Heywood Road. Since then they have languished in the lower reaches of the table, bringing in a raft of newcomers at the start of each season with the promise of better things, only to decide that the way forward is to change everything.
