At my advanced age, I try not to scream too loud. Bad for the
ulcers and hairline, ya know. But Ingrid Eckstrand, of Falls Church,
has just cost me some stomach lining and some follicles.
She sent word of one of the most questionable products ever to hit
the market. Even more questionable: It's being offered by an outfit
that should know how dangerous it is, the American Automobile
Association.
The product is called an auto butler tray. You attach it to the
steering wheel of a car. A shelf flips down, in the general direction
of the driver's belly button.
"Simply ingenious!" crows an ad in the AAA's shopping catalogue.
Simply scary is more like it.
