UNSINKABLE BOXER, a first-fence faller at Higham last Sunday, runs
in Division Two of the Mixed Open at Barbury Castle this Sunday if
the meeting survives the forecast frost.
Winner of the 3m 2f handicap hurdle at the 1998 Cheltenham
Festival when trained by Martin Pipe, Unsinkable Boxer is now with
Louise Alner in Dorset and is being aimed at the Foxhunter Chase at
the Festival in March. Alner said yesterday: "We haven't done much
with him and don't know how much ability he retains. He was heavily
backed at Higham, but not by us. The aim is to win two Open point-to-
points to qualify for Cheltenham."
