TONY Blair is set to fly to Belfast tomorrow night in an attempt
to kick-start the stalled Northern Ireland peace talks in the wake of
the BBC bomb blast.
The Prime Minister called yesterday for a fresh round-table
discussion with all the major parties in the province amid fears that
the terrorist attack in London would imperil the whole peace process.
Mr Blair's decision to insist on the talks, which will be attended
at least initially by Bertie Ahern, the Taoiseach, follows concerns
that the Ulster Unionists will harden their position after the car
bomb explosion on Sunday.
Police began yesterday the painstaking task of searching for clues
