Status: Currently doing two years practical experience for my Assessment of Professional Competence having completed my MA conversion course in Rural Land Management at Reading University.

Qualifications: One year toiling on a Leicestershire farm; MA in History, 2:1, University of St Andrews.

Mission: To survive my first week as assistant land manager for the chartered surveyors Smiths Gore. I will divide my time between the Leconfield Estate at Petworth and other estates in West Sussex and Surrey.
