Paul N. Pfeiffer, 83, a retired administrative law judge, died
June 14 at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital after a stroke.
Mr. Pfeiffer retired in 1980 after having served five years as
chief administrative law judge with the Consumer Products Safety
Commission. Earlier, he had served 14 years with the Federal Maritime
Administration, where he also was chief administrative law judge.
From 1947 until 1961, he was a hearing examiner with the Civil
Aeronautics Board.
