THE MILLENNIUM Dome today pitched itself firmly at the family
market, announcing discount tickets to soften the impact of a GBP 20
admission charge.
It means that families of up to five will be able to spend a day
at the Dome for an inclusive GBP 57, the equivalent of GBP 11.40 a
head.
But single parent families would need to rope in friends or
relatives to qualify for the discount. Otherwise they must find the
full price of GBP 20 for an adult ticket and GBP 16.50 for a child.
There will be no charge for under fives.
The controversial issue of admission charges is the Dome's last
secret and today's announcement had to be approved by Prime Minister
Tony Blair and his Dome minister Lord ...
