TOUGH guy actor Ray Winstone is being showered with drama awards
but there is one role he is desperate to play . . . West Ham manager
Harry Redknapp.
Hammers-barmy Ray would trade all the luvvie backslapping for a
few moments in the dugout directing his claret and blue troops into
Premiership action.
"Once West Ham is in your blood you cannot get rid of it," says
Ray, an Upton Park season-ticket holder who has followed the team
from the days of Moore, Hurst and Peters, through the wilderness
years and on to the soaring promise of the current squad.
"I have seen all sorts down there but nothing like today's squad.
These could be the boys who form the backbone of the future
England squad.
