Article: Dando detective will lead 'cold case review' of Lamplugh murder

SCOTLAND YARD has launched an internal review of the investigation into the missing estate agent Suzy Lamplugh who disappeared more than 13 years ago.

The review, conducted under the command of Detective Chief Inspector Barry Webb, who led a review into the Jill Dando murder inquiry, comes two weeks after police received reports of a "strong lead" as to where Suzy's body might be hidden.

The move also follows a recent announcement by Miss Lam-plugh's mother, Diana, that there had been a breakthrough in the case, leading to speculation that her body might finally be found.
