OF all the critical comments hurled at England in Harare three and
a half years ago, the one that stung most came from then Zimbabwe
captain Alistair Campbell.
"They've got to get rid of their superiority complex," he said.
England, under Mike Atherton and David Lloyd, had precious little
to feel superior about following a drawn Test series and three one-
day defeats. It did not stop them giving the wrong impression,
however.
But that was then, this is now and Nasser Hussain's steadily
developing side will have every right to exude confidence before
start of play at Trent Bridge tomorrow. Zimbabwe, despite winning a
low-scoring contest against a virtual Yorkshire second XI at
Headingley, ...
