ALMOST 2,000 patients were removed from a hospital waiting list in
order to meet government targets, it emerged today.
The latest example of "massaging" waiting list figures occurred
when patients' names were removed from waiting lists for treatment at
Horsham Hospital, in West Sussex, and East Surrey Hospital, Redhill.
A total of 1,800 patients' names were put on an "unofficial"
waiting list and put back on the waiting list at a later date.
