If it's in, it's already out. So what's the fashion pack to do
during show time? Save face with the Sophy Roberts guide to New York,
Paris and Milan
THE chrome, white-walled, Parmesanshaving-lifestyle is alive and
thriving in the provinces, wearing its Vuitton graffit'd bag smugly
on its arm. In the city, all that's happened - it's over.
Forget nights round the long bar of a clichd boutique hotel
pleading for a table at Nobu. What we want now is: understatement
(think zinc Paris bar tucked away in Barbes, the ragged Right-Bank
'hood), irony (major designer living in a fringe area) and
eclecticism (vintage worn with Chanel's cartoon-print "It Must Be
No5" handbag).
Of course, "new" still ...
