ROBERT MCAULEY, 54, lives with his wife, Patricia, 46, and 11- year-old daughter Robin near Baker Street Tube station, writes Indira Das-Gupta.

Robert, who is a graphic designer, walks to work in Marble Arch, as does his wife who works near home.

But he is concerned about congestion charges because he drives his daughter to and from her school every day.

He said: "Robin is about to start at Francis Holland School in Sloane Square. It would involve her taking two buses or the Tube, so my wife and I plan to take it in turns to take her there and pick her up.
