Article: Concorde Airlines Seek Help Finding Fix; British Airways, Air France Ask Aeronautic Firms for Safety Plan for Grounded Jets

British Airways and Air France are asking two aircraft manufacturers for an "action plan" to address safety problems that have grounded all of the world's Concorde supersonic jetliners indefinitely, British Airways said today.

Authorities in France and Britain formally revoked the planes' certificate of airworthiness today, meaning the jets cannot legally operate. The planes won't return to service, government officials said, until the cause of the July 25 crash of a Concorde outside Paris has been clearly identified and corrected.
