Close to $1.5 million was spent by the more than 16,000
spectators who attended the second annual ITT-Kruse International/Jo
hn Hoke and Co. Oklahoma City Automobile Show and Auction at the
Myriad Convention Center last weekend, according to John Hoke.
That represents about a 50 percent increase over last year's
nearly $1 million sales volume, he said. Some 125 cars sold, of the
better than 400 in the show.
The highest price at the auction - $70,000 - was made for one of
six Silver Spur Rolls Royces noted for having been originally
purchased for Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh by followers in the commune he
built in Oregon. Three other of the Bhagwan's personal cars were
