Article: $10.6 MILLION REVENUE SHORTFALL TO HIT CITY / FOR FISCAL YEAR, SAYS BOWN

A $10.6 million shortfall in Oklahoma City revenues for the fiscal year ending June 30 has been projected by Don Bown, city manager.

That was the report Wednesday to the Oklahoma City Council Finance Committee which met to discuss the city's dwindling budget, originally estimated to contain $194 million for the fiscal year, but revised down to $183.4 million due to several factors.

Those factors include declining sales tax revenues, originally targeted to reach $88.7 million. Those figures have declined $2.7 million as of Jan. 31, Bown reported, totaling $48.7 million.
