Article: SOUTHWEST AIRLINES, TRANSTAR PASSENGER MILES JUMP 4.6%

DALLAS - A combined 654 million revenue passenger miles were flown in June by Southwest Airlines and its wholly-owned subsidiary, TranStar, a 4.6 percent increase over the 625.4 million revenue passenger miles flown by the two carriers in June 1985.

Southwest's (only) June traffic was down 4.1 percent to 508.6 million revenue passenger miles, while TranStar (only) flew 145.3 million revenue passenger miles, a 52.6 percent increase over last year.
