Article: COUNTY HOSPITALS' OCCUPANCY RATES DOWN FROM 1984 TO 1985

Occupancy rates for all 16 acute care hospitals in Oklahoma County were down from 1984 to 1985, according to a repor t by the Oklahoma Health Planning Commission.

Occupancy rates for hospitals in the state overall have fallen for the fifth year in a row, the commission said. For 1985, Oklahoma's 130 acute care hospitals averaged 48.2 percent occupancy, compared to a 56 percent occupancy rate for 1984, said Ross Brown, health planner with the health planning commission.

The planning commission figures are compiled from the annual reports of the hospitals and are the most current available, Brown said.
