It could have been an ominous sign. The first play from scrimmage in Stone Bridge's football history was a false start by the Bulldogs.

But Stone Bridge didn't let that play dictate its fate, despite showing plenty of rookie mistakes in its 23-20 home loss to the Potomac School on Friday night. Sure, for Bulldogs Coach Mickey Thompson and his staff, there were a distressing number of penalties, too many miscommunications on both sides of the ball, and just simple, incomplete execution at times.
