Altus Airlines will temporarily suspend service to Oklahoma City,
Lawton, Tulsa and Wichita as of Aug. 29, "to give the company time
to restructure with newer and more economical aircraft," according
to John Gover, chairman and chief executive officer.
"Discussions with several investment banking firms will quite
likely result in the company making a public stock offering in the
near future," Gover said.
Flights between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and the
city of Altus will continue uninterrupted, he said, and charter
operations will continue.
"We hope to be in full operation again by the end of the year,"
