Commercial development is on the upswing in Prince George's
County, at the same time that residential growth in the county is
holding steady and the county's population is increasing.
Although Fairfax and Montgomery counties led the growth in new
commercial construction in the Washington area last year, with a
combined total of nearly 19 million square feet of new construction,
businesses are taking a new look at Prince George's County and
grabbing available space and developing more.
In Prince George's, there was more than 3 million square feet of
new commercial space last year, up from 2.65 million the year before.
Although Montgomery County led all Maryland suburbs in the
Washington area ...
