Oklahoma City will defer making a decision on an intended takeover
announced Wednesday by Doskocil Companies Inc., Wilson said
Thursday.
Wilson officials have recommended shareholders delay selling
their stock until Aug. 9, when Wilson's management will announce a
decision about the takeover initiated by Doskocil, a Kansas
specialty-food supplier.
The $127 million, $12.50-per-share offer made this week by
Doskocil expires Aug. 23, and Wilson officials said shareholders
should hold on to their stock until advised by the company as to
what to do.
Meanwhile, Doskocil officials sent a second letter to Wilson
Chairman Kenneth Griggy, in which Doskocil said Wilson had asked the
