Dealer's Auto Auction, a $4 million-plus
facility consisting of two buildings totaling 60,000 square feet on
a 52.5 acre site at 1028 S. Portland Ave. will be opening in
mid-October, said Gary D. Smith, the president of the corporation.
Smith, who applied for a rezoning application, received a
recommendation for approval by the Oklahoma City Planning Commission
Thursday for a zoning change from single family residential, general
business and moderate industrial districts to a planned unit
development district.
Financing for the project came from private investors, Smith
said. He said the cost of constructing the facility is
