excited about Oklahoma City and its potential, you're not going to
get excited about anything, said Jimmy Lyles, Oklahoma City Chamber
of Commerce president.
Lyles, who came to the chamber from Corpus Christi, Texas, two
months ago, shared his perceptions of Oklahoma City with the Rotary
Club Tuesday.
"People seem to think that this is a unique situation that
Oklahoma City is going through, but it isn't true," Lyles said. The
past few years have been really tough for the southwest. We need to
take a look at the things other parts of the country have done and
apply them to Oklahoma City, he said.
To compete, Oklahoma City needs to understand its potential,
