Article: CREDIT UNION IN BARTLESVILLE SEEKS MERGER

Reda Employees Credit Union of Bartlesville could be liquidated if no merger partner is found for it, Wayne Osborn, Oklahoma Banking Commissioner, said Tuesday at the monthly Oklahoma Credit Union Board meeting in Oklahoma City.

Osborn made a plea to the three other credit union board members and credit union officials at the meeting to consider merging their institutions with the faltering credit union.

Negotiations to merge Reda Employees into 66 Federal Credit Union, the only other credit union in Bartlesville, "are still in limbo at this time," Osborn said during the meeting, "and the credit union does desperately need a merger."
