The company listed total assets of about $4 million and liabilities of $2.8 million with $1.5 million in secured debt and $1.27 in unsecured debt.

D.Q. Enterprises,Inc., a holding company which owns all of the stock of Dunn's Dairy Queen, also filed a Chapter 11 petition. It listed $1.18 million in total assets and $183,999 in total liabilities.

Dan Borgen, president of Dunn's Dairy Queen, said the company would continue to serve customers as a debtor in possession and aggressively market its product.

Dunn's Dairy Queen plans to open three new stores this year, the company said. ...
