After more than 25 years in the automotive business in various parts of the country, Gary D. Smith decided last year that it was time to settle down.

So, he found 53 undeveloped acres out near Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City and decided to open his third dealers only auto auction.

He purchased the land, had the facility designed and went before the Oklahoma City Planning Commission seeking zoning changes. After attending several meetings and making refinements to his plans to meet city ordinances, Smith was able to break ground in June.
